In short
We collect only what we need to run the Busiqueens community, directory, events and awards. We never sell your data. You can ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time, and we will do it. This policy follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This policy covers busiqueens.com, our forms, our WhatsApp and email communication, and the data we hold about members, listed businesses, nominees, reviewers, event visitors, sponsors, exhibitors and partners.

3. Consent
We ask for your consent on every form with separate ticks for the Terms and this policy, for WhatsApp contact and for email contact. You can withdraw consent any time by writing to info@busiqueens.com. Withdrawal does not affect what was done lawfully before, and some services (for example a live listing) cannot continue without the data they depend on.
4. How we use your data
To provide the service you asked for; to verify listings and nominations; to send transactional messages (approval, certificate, renewal reminders, event confirmations); to send marketing messages only where you ticked the box; to moderate reviews and keep the directory genuine; to respond to enquiries and grievances; to comply with law; and to produce anonymised statistics about the community.
5. Who we share data with
We never sell personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Publicly, by design: the parts of a listing, nominee page or review that are meant to be public (business name, description, photos, public contact details, reviewer first name and review text).
- Service providers who process data for us: our hosting provider, Razorpay for payments, our email and CRM system (FluentCRM on our own server), WhatsApp Business, YouTube for embedded videos, and Google Analytics where enabled. Each acts on our instructions.
- Our Official Marketing Partner: if you request a business consulting call and tick the specific consent, we share your name, business, contact details and stated need with Afraz Alam Marketing Services so the call can happen. Without that tick we do not share it.
- Sponsors and exhibitors: never receive member data. Event footfall and reach numbers shared with sponsors are totals, not personal data.
- Law: when a court, government body or law requires it.
6. Where your data is stored and for how long
Data is stored on servers in India where available, or with providers that meet Indian law. We keep listing owners' details while the listing is live and for 12 months after; listing data for the listing's validity plus 12 months; nomination and review data for 24 months after the awards edition; enquiries for 24 months; payment records for 8 years as required by tax law; server logs for 90 days. When a retention period ends we delete or anonymise the data.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser keeps for a website. On your first visit, a small bar at the bottom of the page lets you choose: Accept all, Only necessary, or Cookie settings to pick for yourself. We keep your choice for 12 months in a cookie called bq_consent. You can change it anytime with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
- Necessary (always on): keep our forms safe from spam, remember your cookie choice, and remember if you have already seen or joined our newsletter. The site cannot work properly without them.
- Analytics (on unless you choose Only necessary or switch them off): Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity show us which pages help visitors and where they get stuck. They do not tell us your name. Google Analytics cookies last up to 2 years and Microsoft Clarity cookies up to 1 year.
- Marketing (off unless you choose Accept all or switch them on): let Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) show you relevant Busiqueens updates and measure our ads. We do not run advertising tags at present. If we add them, they will work only when you have allowed marketing cookies.
Listing statistics (page views and taps) are counted without cookies, and visitors never need to sign in. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser. The site still works, and you will see the cookie bar again. Open cookie settings
8. Your rights under the DPDP Act
You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to have it deleted, to withdraw consent, to nominate someone to exercise these rights for you, and to complain. To use any of these, use the Data Request form or write to info@busiqueens.com from the email you used with Busiqueens. We verify identity, acknowledge within 24 hours and act within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We use HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords, limited staff access, regular backups and reviewed plugins. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
